Benefits

Lumivia® CPL insecticide seed treatment is the first and only seed applied technology for wheat that protects against armyworm, cutworm, wireworm, grasshoppers and more. Also approved for use in pulses, Lumivia CPL helps crops establish a stronger stand for better yield potential.

Fast-acting protection above and below ground

Young plant showing root growth

Once seed is planted, Lumivia CPL protection begins right away, guarding the seed and roots against below-ground pests including wireworm, seedcorn maggot and pea leaf weevil larvae. As plants grow, Lumivia CPL translocates to protect developing seedlings and leaves from above-ground pests such as armyworm and cutworm larvae. Above and below ground, Lumivia CPL stops pest feeding almost immediately.

New mode of action

Wheat vector

Lumivia CPL features a unique mode of action allowing for systemic uptake through the plant. As the treated seed germinates and develops roots, shoots and leaves, Lumivia CPL protection extends into the growing plant, delivering protection for up to 45 days. It is the only insecticide seed treatment labeled for control of armyworm in wheat. Offers a wider application window and has both dormant and non-dormant uses.

Minimal impact on beneficial insects

Bee on a plant
