Corteva Agriscience recently announced the launch of four powerful crop protection solutions. One of these products is Enversa™ soybean herbicide. Currently pending registration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Enversa will provide residual activity to control the toughest grass and broadleaf weeds, including waterhemp and Palmer amaranth.

Here is a breakdown of key benefits Enversa will bring your customers’ soybean weed control program.
- Powerful weed control. Enversa will be a powerful solution for controlling 20 of the toughest weed species. The active ingredient is an encapsulated acetochlor, which is a Group 15 mode of action. Group 15 herbicides are effective for mitigating weed resistance and for controlling glyphosate- and ALS-resistant weed varieties. When Enversa is sprayed on the field, the herbicide will drive to the soil creating a residual barrier against weeds.
- Excellent crop safety. Enversa will offer excellent crop safety for reduced crop response, especially compared with competitors like S-metolachlor products. The enhanced crop safety is due to the highly efficient, proprietary encapsulated acetochlor. When Enversa is sprayed over the field, the herbicide will drive to the soil, reducing potential crop injury.
- Extended residual activity. Enversa drives to soil to create a residual barrier that can provide up to four weeks of residual weed control activity.
- Application flexibility. Enversa will be a flexible solution with preemergence and postemergence application options, allowing farmers to better navigate challenging weather conditions. Additionally, Enversa requires only a little moisture for activation, making it a good choice in drier climates.
- Tank-mix compatibility. Enversa will offer great handling and tank-mix compatibility. In addition to the new solution being the future tank-mix partner of choice for Enlist One® herbicide, Enversa will be a good addition to a program approach to weed control with multiple other soybean herbicides, including Kyber®, Sonic® and Trivence® herbicides.
The encapsulated acetochlor will complement tank-mix partners by allowing Enversa to drive to the soil for long-lasting residual activity, while tank-mix partners like glyphosate remain active on weed tissues for maximum control.
- A convenient label. In addition to soybeans, Enversa will be labeled for a variety of crops, including corn, cotton and sorghum. This wide label will offer farmers the convenience of using the herbicide for multiple products — and will eliminate concerns about plant-back restrictions between different crops.
