Spring Into the Soybean Season With a Burndown

The best way to get a jump on a new soybean season is to perform a spring burndown herbicide application. This will create clean acres that are ready for soybean planting.
Even if your customers were able to squeeze in fall burndowns, they may notice especially resistant winter weeds such as marestail making an appearance. Those weeds will really take off once warmer weather develops, and the taller they get, the harder they are to control. By taking care of those weeds right away with a spring burndown, you’ll prevent headaches for yourself and your farmers later in the season.
An innovative solution from Corteva Agriscience is Elevore® herbicide. Elevore contains proprietary Arylex™ active, which makes it a more flexible option than other burndown products. Conventional wisdom says to apply herbicides to marestail before it grows any taller than 4 inches and to perform burndown no later than four weeks prior to planting. With Elevore, you can control marestail up to 8 inches tall and you can plant two weeks after application.
