The recently announced registration of Stinger® HL herbicide delivers weed control flexibility, proven performance and a lower use rate to wheat, barley and oat growers.
The Group 4 herbicide provides excellent control of tough broadleaf weeds, including Canada thistle, giant ragweed, horseweed and black nightshade, in cereals.
Stinger HL is also labeled for use on corn, canola and sugarbeets and controls many troublesome broadleaf weeds.
With a lower use rate than Stinger® herbicide, Stinger HL offers growers excellent tank-mix compatibility and superior crop safety.
Stinger HL can be applied to wheat, barley and oats from the three-leaf stage until the early boot stage at the labeled per-acre rate of 2.4 ounces to 3.2 ounces. For best results, apply to actively growing weeds. Only weeds emerged at the time of treatment will be affected.
Extreme growing conditions — such as drought or near freezing temperatures — prior to, at or following application may reduce weed control and increase crop injury at all stages of growth.
Stinger® and Stinger HL are not available for sale, distribution or use in Nassau and Suffolk counties in the state of New York. State restrictions on the sale and use of Stinger apply. Consult the label before purchase or use for full details. Always read and follow label directions.
